Your driver/guide will be
waiting for you as you depart the cruise ship terminal. After
introductions and a friendly exchange, you will board your van with glee
knowing that your day will be carefree.
Vancouver can seem overwhelming with all it has to offer. To get your
bearings, begin at the top of Lookout. A little bit of attention on top
of this tower will help you to see the spots that you will visit on the
ground during the day.
An area that we particularly loved was the creative Granville Island
with its proliferation of artists and great food. We were bowled over by
the beaches so accessible to the public and the nearby gardens. Here you
will have time for a snack.
You will pass through and, in some cases, stop and visit the
Entertainment District of the city. The two stadiums will be on your
itinerary, as well as Chinatown, the famous Gastown, and Robson Street
with its wealth of boutiques, for the best shopping in town.
No tour to Vancouver would be complete without a visit to Stanley Park,
a lovely complement to the bustling city.
Ready for something really spectacular...the famous Capilano Suspension
Bridge which spans a magnificent canyon. There we'll stop to visit
traditional native totem pole carvers and their large display of poles
and crafts. Take a few minutes to walk through and admire the impressive
living forest exhibit.
Your final stop will be your hotel or the airport, please make sure your
flight is scheduled for 8:00pm or later.
