This tour will take you through town. You will visit the Valdez Museum with its annex, the old town houses that were re-located after the Good Friday Earthquake, and the area that used to hold the 800 miles of pipeline. Your guide will bring you to the outskirts of town to see Allison Point and the Solomon Gulch Fish Hatchery and then you will work your way up along the Lowe River, which is the route of the pipeline to the Worthington Glacier and the Thompson Pass, a magnificent vision. This is the Gold Rush Trail and, although unsuccessful, this land was the original site for those chasing gold. You will follow in their footsteps.
