Skagway's most intriguing tour begins along the boardwalk lined streets of our historic community. When you see this town, you will want to explore. Having our experienced and entertaining guides will make this entertaining as they amuse you with captivating stories of the "Klondike Gold Rush" on your way to the White Pass Summit.

Relax in our comfortable coaches as you parallel the train en route to the White Pass Summit. Along the way there will be ample opportunities to view and photograph waterfalls, majestic mountains, glaciers, historic sites and the picturesque beauty of ALASKA!

Before you return to town, you will stop at the delightful Jewell Gardens. After the first winter, new residents were eager to try their hand at gardening. In 1898 the successes of the season were reported in the Skagway News and Skagway's garden history began. By the turn of the century large farms were established in Skagway and its outskirts.

A 40 acre parcel west of the Skagway River Bridge cultivated by Henry C. Clark was one of those farms. Clark found rhubarb a fast growing easy crop in a land where fresh fruit was scarce. His rhubarb patch was so abundant, locals referred to him as the "Rhubarb King". Rhubarb Syrup is currently sold in Skagway stores with a label sporting Henry Clark's photo.

The well-trained staff at the gardens will take you on a leisurely historic tour of the "garden". It is beautifully landscaped with ponds and a G scale miniature train that runs throughout the grounds.

Lunch comes next and you will be treated to a choice of sandwiches or quiche, salad, a sweet dessert and a beverage. This portion of the tour will be a true surprise to find in this city.
